It’s with a heavy heart I announce the passing of the member known as King-eL. I last saw him just over a month ago, but we went back to 2002. In fact, we both did our first import ever from Toyin at Rehobooth out of the USA for Birchers together then. Earl went on to become a world renown Bircher expert, as well as a general expert of all things related to monsterfishkeeping. I’m so sorry you are gone Earl. You were a sweet heart, a stand up guy, an honest bro. May you Rest In Peace.

Extremely sad news. I also met Earl in the "good old days" and have become quite close. Often chatting about fish and recently fishing. Still can't believe he's left us. May he RIP.

It's been just over a year since Earl Pigar passed away in a tragic fishing accident. Those of us who were his friends (fish friends and otherwise) remember him fondly. He contributed quite a bit of knowledge and inspiration to the author of The Bichir Handbook. I just got my copy of the book in the mail right now. For those of you interested, get your copy over at: https://thebichirhandbook.com In the photos below you will note a few tributes to Earl.
