Chipped scale?

Thought I bring this up as its common, this is where the aro's scaled seems chipped or most believe its scale rot thats due to poor water quality. Treatments as most suggested is adding salt and K leaves, or use melafix. This from arofanatics. Anyone who encounter this problem ?

grows back slowly. imo, more slow than growing back a whole new scale.

dont need salt or K leave.. do water changes and feed regularly. itll grow back in a month or 2

Regular water changes are very important... with these fish being larger, the water quality deteriorates alot quicker.

Check the pH of the tank. Try to maintain the pH at 7 for the time being.

yes, the scale will grow back.... water changes a good ideal... and salt will help. Good Luck!
