keeping red fish with red aro

I have some japanese aro books, and my wife has been translating for me..

One of the books is specific to reds, and it says that you should keep red fish (parrotfish, oscars ect) with red aro as that will "inspire it" to become more red..

thoughts, comments?

i tried keeping red fish with my chilli red aro! the jumbo blood parrots became targets more than anything!

I keep the parrots ( 2 of them ) with my RTG. No, it does not bring more colour.

I have never experienced any colour change with red fish.
I find diet the key ie. shrimp and colour enhancing pellets do improve the red in my aros.
