The substrate is actually a mixture of estes black and a dark grey geo systems sand. The mixture looks cool and it doesn't really affect the water parametres. Jmorash

I used to have a group of 10 red hooks and 6 black bars all about 6-8" then sold them for like 160 bucks a couple years ago. Awesome fish, I wish I never sold them. They will be a perfect addition to your tank. GL. If they come up on any of my lists I will be sure to tell you. Justin Morash

Not true about the pond. When I get one he will be housed in the 1500 gallon tank I plan on building hahah. That is when I find a house I want to buy.. and when I can get the woman away for a couple of weeks so I can build it without being murdered in my sleep hahah.
