I'd say its probably just getting used to the environment. As long as you keep up the good water parameters, everything should be alright. Arowanas can go a long time without eating. Another thing you can do to reduce a little stress is lower the water level a couple inches if that's an option...

Just check to see if its breathing heavily. If so, check water parameters.

I'm with Chen on avoiding the egg crates. Acrylic with drilled holes is better. Grow out tank or selling the pbass is best if possible.
