Is your overflows plumbed in the same as the previous pic? Is the water high in the overflows also? Can you take a pic of your current overflow setup? What size is your drain pipes from your overflow?

Nice job trev sorry to hear about the glass. Just curious to how your overflow works. From the one picture it looks like they will go to a common filter sock chamber. I see one has a valve and a bulkhead filter and the other looks like a male thread in the overflow. What was your plan for these...

They are totally worth it as they look so nice. You probably will never find one that has been in captivity for over two years as either they are dead or no one will sell there's as there are very few over here that live past this point. I say go for it but just be prepared.

There is a high death rate with them. I would reccomend keeping it alone or with a 4-5" pup of another speices at first. I'm not sure what your water parameters are but be prepared to run a blend of r/o with tap. I keep these rays at a higher temp especially a small tiger like that so run your...

I wish I was around the tank enough to catch something like this happening. Everything cool usually happens when I'm not around, except one male ray I had seemed to allways want to breed females when I walked in the room.....showoff!

I use the magfloat 510a on 1 1/4" acrylic. You need to keep up with it as it will come off easier when dirty. Also the swim and scrub method for the rest of the inside.

magfloat, no real problems. It will come off occasionally when I go side to side with it.

The vatf is very cool and fun to watch as they are one of the fastest fish I have seen. It's probably at 14" right now and to my surprise a very non aggressive fish to anything else in my tank and is even sitting still occasionally for photo ops. Ya it seems everything grows to full potential...

That pic was taken first thing in the morning before any meals. He is a great eater and extremely curious about things. Having a pup in the tank makes me want to go back to breeding rays more often.

Just picked these up from Mike at Exotic Aquaria on his last two aquamonster imports and they are doing great. Sorry about the pic of the Dorados as they are constantly moving and anything zoomed closer just seemed to blur.

Congrats, they look nice and healthy. You must have a biter in the tank somewhere. Lol you need to get wet just for the fun of it. Did you get to watch the birth? Do you know if she was mated again? The floating pup pond is nicely done and should make things easy for you to look after.
