Aro and discus is not a good combination. It is almost imposible. Experience Flashback: I started with 1 small xback and 10 or so sub-adult discus. They did well till the aro hit about 12". Despite all the driftwood and hiding places I provided the discus they will eventually deteriorate...

When I first saw the pic that was my first impresion also. Baby aros that size doesn't look like that (as I remember). The shape and color of the baby aros just doesn't seem to fit??? But he did say you can come look and take your pick. :confused:

Great tank set up man! Wouldn't you be required to have a bigger wire for a 20 amp breaker specially that the high load is somewhat continous? It's probably safer to just run another circuit from your panel. You can always use a tandemn cb if your panel is aready full.

sr's are doing fine. They use to be together but I have to separate them about a month ago as one is gettinga little bit dominant. The skin are all dark now and scale may even be coming out already. I'll mix them again in spring when I can run my bottom sump and put the 2 nasty rtg down...

Aro and Discus is NOT a good combination. You have a way better chance of success with a two aro com. than an aro-discus com (along with what ever tankmates you want with it). Doesn't matter what other tank mates you put with an aro-discus, asian aro and discus is just an almost impossible...
