I personally don't see anything wrong with hybrids. I am guessing you are still getting 75% original xb :D, it's more of infussing a different strain (RTG or SR) to produce a more attractive/more in demand/more productive xb. I personally think the original XB look is not as attractive as XB...

imho thin frame/rims is only temporary with most of the aros today. Thin rimmed/framed aros will have thck rims when about 5+ yrs and eventually move its way to the core. Well atleast you got your thin rims for 5 years or so while thick rims are already thick even when young and will just grow...

I'll grow them in my tank sump, about same size as my 8X4 tank, but Im not really too excited in putting them there because I wouldn't be seeing them :D. It should be good for their color developement thought since my sump is black pond liner. I'll put them there when theyre about 9" or so.
