i have the cheap ones n a eheim one, i like both of them only thing that i didn't like the cheap one is that they do break really fast n after awhile the bag that catches the waste sometimes fall off , as for the batteries the cheap kind uses 2C battery which cost a bit and the ehiem used 4AA...
