    Nah I wouldn't force the NTT out...they will come out when they're comfortable. Usually when there is enough hiding spots, they will come out more. Very nice setup though.

    Definitely go with the FX5 if you're only really planning on using it for mechanical filtration / polishing. I don't really recommend a filter sock as they do get clogged rather quickly and require regular cleaning/replacing. Just go with the filter floss. Btw, is there a drip tray in your sump?

    I know what you're saying...just that in his case it can be easily rectified without having to spend more money. Adding plants would definite help the situation. I have a 36watt UV that I only use for emergencies. Other than that, I never bother running it.

    I don't get why you would need to run a phosban reactor in the first place. If you're only worried about algae control, stop over feeding, don't have the light on for long periods of time, put up blinds if the sun is shining into the tank, keep your water quality / perimeters in check. Those...
