For years there has been one P. henlei in the facility. This large female has never been pregnant before. To my surprise she gave birth to two extremely large pups (~16cm disk) last night. The father is a black diamond breeding male. It will be interesting to see how these pups will develop.

A young male lutino pearl stingray has been swimming in one of the grow-out tanks since a week or so :) Pearls have always been my favorite. The cool thing about this new breeding program is a new tank for pearl stingray only will be build. I'm surprised by the beauty of these stingrays...

Thanx. Yes all 11 from one mother, never seen a P14 female that high, insane :p The pups are big also, 12+ cm (5") disk and already eating. I'm giving the female a rest for a while to recover now :)

Forgot to mention here. May, 12th 2011 three healthy pure black diamond pups were born. Here's a picture of one of them just after birth. They are developing fantasticly :) May, 11th 2011 six BDxleo pups were born also (4 females and 2 males).
