1. MerLion Red: They are produced from brooders of pure red
bloodline but of normal quality. The red colourisations of
its offspring vary greatly but still provide a decent red colour
for viewing enjoyment. Quality points: 50% -70%.

2. MerLion Red (Premium): They are produced from brooders of pure
red bloodline which have strong red colorization.
However, these brooders could not be identified
as “Chili Red” or “Blood Red”. Hence, we grouped
them as “Premium”. Hobbyist can expect very
good red colourisation from its offspring. Quality
point: 70% to 80%.

3. MerLion Red - Chili: They are produced from brooders of pure Chili
red bloodline. This bloodline is rare and has strong
bright red colourisation. Its head should be of green in
colour. Quality point: minimum 80%.

4. MerLion Red – Blood: They are produced from brooders of pure Blood
red bloodline. It is rare and has dark red
colourisation. Its juvenile usually exhibit red
colourisation more readily than any other bloodline.
Also, some do exhibit purple or blue base scale
colurisation. Its head should be dark or black in
colour. Quality point: mimimum 80%.

5. MerLion Ultimate Red: They are produced from the Alpha male brooders
within the Premium, Chili and Blood Red pond.
Quality point: minimum 90%.

Additional Notes:

1. Male arowana are usually redder than the female. However, female
of good red bloodline can also exhibit strong red colour.

2. Spoon head: It is characterized by a curvature between the distance from
the mouth to the eyes of an arowana. Hobbyist should not mistaken with an over fed juvenile arowana which the shoulder is bulging and the head is forced to tilt upward as this will slowly disappear when the head structure start to develop.

Spoon head in adult red arowana is very rare or almost unfound. Hence, Dreamfish cannot provide any guarantee on spoon head arowana. The characteristic of Spoon Head can only be found in juvenile red arowana and disappear when the fish reach adulthood. One can verify this fact by observing all the adult red arowana photo in any aro magazines.
