Hi Hobbyists in Toronto:

Remember this photo that I posted.

I am interested in one right now. Let's say if I can find 3 or 4 more interested hobbyists, maybe I could try to convince Lucky Aquarium to sell them at a lower price. I think the current price is $280 each. The price is including one (underwater) pump / space-bar / (connection) tube / but exclude media. By the way, it is a 4 feet glass filter in the photo.

Are there any filters made in acrylic? If so, I may be interested if shipping wasn't too bad to Manitoba.

For acrylic, there has a concern which is the bottom piece might tend to "bow" downward in the long term. The longer it is, the higher the risk.

That's the key reason why most people don't tend to use acrylic but to use glass for this type of filter.
