:'( My XP3 just died

I just did a filter rinse, and after 2 hours, I've decided that it's dead. So currently I only have 1 eheim pro 3 running for 1 aro, 2 prochilodus, 1 small tiger, 1 small bichir.

So what do you all think? Can that run my tank on just the one eheim? I only run my tank at about 60%, so about 55 gallons. I can't afford a new filter, as I'm barely scraping together the funds for Tenecor tank order.

So with that said, I am likely going to have to start selling fish pretty soon to get my bioload down. The only one I can see selling though is the small phoenix--whom I'd planned on keeping for when I had 2 tanks running and sectioned off the smaller one to allow 2 phoenix's in that tank as well.

So little phoenix gone... enough to fit a 16" phoenix, 10" Aro, 3" Indo Tiger and maybe 5" Bichir? I'm certainly uncertain. If that's not enough, then I'm selling the Aro.

If I increased water changes to every day or 2, would that help? I'd really rather keep all of my fish and do some extra work. I can afford a new filter by about August 1st.

Comments? Opinions? All are welcome.

I am using 2 xp3's and a xp4 on my 320g tank, 25% water changes every second day. No problems so far. What do you think happened to the xp3? Maybe something got inside the motor? Maybe you have an airlock preventing priming? I have only heard good things about xp3 till now, your making me nervous. At least I almost have my 60g sump ready (finally).

I also use 4 hydrosponge V filters (2 stacks of two) with maxijet 1200 ph for mechanical filtrations (and a little biological). They really capture a lot of waste and are quite cheap. I highly recommend them as extra filtration.
