They are both 180 gallon tanks - Aqueon ones. The size works well for me - not too massive and not too small as well.

Thanks for the tips everyone! Just got the quote back - it would be $37 freight cost to send to Port Moody, B.C. for the 500 bulk Canadian Nightcrawler worms - all up $101 (incl GST). We should look into a Group Buy if there is enough interest around.

Those places that have locust infestations on a massive scale that plague their crops should just build a huge Shop Vac like portable warehouse - that sucks, dries and package them en masse.

How long can they last in the fridge? - you do not have to feed them just soil in a styro right? I tried Superworms, but the ray is not taking to them yet. I guess the Superworm has a harder shell casing . . .

Thanks - The Severums steer well clear of the ray. I had seen the ray try to pounce on the smaller of the Severums, but the Sev always manage to slip away. I bought one of those Trendnet cameras to check them out whenever I need to - they seem to co-exist quite nicely. The RTG Aro does...

Very nice! My understanding is that extended exposure to light (without necessarily the need for expensive tanning lamps/bulbs) would normally provide the tanning needed. David's Red Aro (Hondas3000) looked so different after just a few weeks of more exposure (extended hours) to lamp...

Thanks for the heads up! The FF seems to be leaving the pup alone for now - will have to monitor them closely. Have always admired the rays, heard from a lot of people that they are difficult to raise and have high mortality rates - then again, have seen quite a lot of success stories.

Thanks Brian - Did you use Red Wrigglers or the Euro Nightcrawlers? Apparently the Canadian Nightcrawlers are not ideal as they breed very slowly. The extra moisture is supposed to drip to the bottom tray and becomes worm tea - suppose to be good for potted plants.

Planning on ordering one of these units to raise feeders - Worm Factory 360 - http://urbanwormwonders.com/store.html with Red Wrigglers and European Nightcrawlers. Anyone tried this? Good idea?
