Doing an update on my Maju red after it's been with me for a few months. Super happy with this fish despite minor plj. Noticed in black tank that the fish would take on a nice dark base. Ate like a pig; think the ADA aquasoil helped with color and appetite. Here she is in early March...

Thanks for the tips! Yeah I washed out my old filter sponges and it seemed to help. Tank is cycled now just waiting on lids. Amazing how low these reactors keep nitrate. I was dosing 5ppm of ammonia for almost 2 weeks straight; nitrates are only at 40ppm. Not bad... Nice love discus...
