    Channa Barca - 20" +

Pretty sure a couple of David Ash's are getting up there (he's had them for a lot longer than most people). I was speaking a couple owners from Europe and Asia about them and people say that they've heard of a Barca in Japan that are 30"+. Same story from different people from different sides of...

    Channa Barca - 20" +

A few keepers of these guys are thinking this fish could rival micropeltes in size. There are already 30"+ Barca in captivity, I guess some think they can surpass that size. Only time will tell!

    Channa Barca - 20" +

Immune systems do seem to be compromised at that level. He was at my parents for a couple months while I moved and the water temperature shot up there and he was not too happy. I wouldn't risk it. I've seen them do good in overstocked tanks, but still too risky for my likings.

    Channa Barca - 20" +

Hey guys, Entertaining offers for my Channa Barca. Amazing fish, super rare in Canada only a handful here (like maybe 4 or 5). No set price, I paid $3000 for it when it was 14". Not expecting to get quite that much, but I won't even respond to ridiculous low balls. Not looking to heckle...

    Support Movember through Arowanaclub Canada!

Hey guys, I would like to thank everyone who has already shown their support and donated to this great cause, or joined in the fun and started growing a stash and fundraising on your own accord. To promote the cause and to add an extra incentive to donating to this cause Bret of Shine...

It's that time of year again!

Hey guys, It's that time of year again! Yes, that's right... Movember! Time for us guys to grow out our stashes to raise awareness and funds for men's health issues, particularly prostate cancer. For the past three years I have shown my support by growing a moustache, however this will...

    Potamotrygon falkneri P53

I'm in as long as we can get enough of us together to get six of them. I can't afford them otherwise.

    Potamotrygon falkneri P53

I have a quote for the rays if we buy 8 of them. If we are going to do this, we should move fast. Europe and Asia will buy these up quick. If not, I am open to pushing Oliver to get us some next fall if you guys are game. The issue of these fish is not that they never come around, a number of...

    Potamotrygon falkneri P53

If we can organize a group order for 6 we can get them for $800 each, and maybe cheaper if we can one more person in on a pair maybe will drop the price down a little bit more. I certainly don't mind spending a little extra in shipping if we want to get them shipped to BC and then reshipped from...

    Potamotrygon falkneri P53

They are a lot like the flower and tigers I guess. So less aggressive feeders than black rays. They can tolerate, and probably benefit from slightly cooler temperature than a lot of other rays. Like the tigers and flowers, the trick is getting them feeding (probably best to start them on live...

Mike are you thinking about getting any? If you are let me know maybe we can split on a group price.

Just for fun... What are YOUR thoughts?

Hey guys, As many of you know (or don't know), I have pretty much stepped out of the hobby for the past 6-8 month, while finishing up my degree and preparing for some travels. Although I only have one tank with one fish, my head has still been in the game. Recently I have been getting more...

    Striped Silver Dollars

They won't be true striped dollars (metynnis fasciatus) they would be like $150. At quarter size you would be able to tell they were schromburgki. At the size of a nickle schromburgki would probably still have spots (the fry have a spotted pattern). More than likely they are probably young...

having some major problems pls help

What were the issues with the previous tank that you used that media in? I think your tank is over stocked for the filtration you have going. Up your filtration or lower your bioload. If I was in your situation I would probably be doing a water change every few days. I just wouldn't have...

    Frontosa issues

Are the fronts still in with the rays? Are they eating the ray food? Fronts shouldn't have a lot of meat in their diet, it can kill them pretty quick. They pretty much bloat up and die. I've kept tons of fronts in the past and my biggest problem was keeping them with other fish that needed a...

    mixing Brachyplatystoma cats together

I wouldn't mix tigs. They are aggressive towards other catfish in particular other Brachyplatystoma. I tried mixing tigs with other tigs, jurus and flavis. I always found one tig would become dominant and start nipping at fins and hoarding food, eventually they would out eat other fish or grow...
