Been using it with oscars and bicher for a few months now, I feed it once or twice a week.. I think a varied diet is the best option for any fish..

I have also taken to buying clam meat as its amazingly cheap (2 bux for 1/2 pound at save on foods)

Be careful feeding with tail on!!! Tail can have sharp spine, I lost a nice flowerhorn that ate prawn with tail on.. Prawn tail punctured its intestine :(

Wow that doesn't sound good .. my condolences.. Raising temp and adding salt is about all I would recommend as well..

That price is for raw with shell on.. I usually remove the shell however.. Many members here stuff the prawn with aro or massivore pellets, however in my experience if the aro is smaller, or likes to chew its food they usually spit the pellet out

Safeway usually has 2 for 1 - 1lb bag of prawn for 8 dollars.. So 2lb for 8 bux.. I also get fresh prawn from boats in steveston, around 5 dollar a pound never frozen.

Red Tail Gold (RTG) is worth about 500 bux. A lot depends on condition and size. What farm is it from? Where are you located? Any pics of this fish?
