I've kept my 5 year old classic RTG in both black and blue backgrounds. He/she looks great either way. Don't worry about it, just enjoy grooming your arowana. :)

Been jokingly telling my wife for years I'm keeping the aro to see who goes first, me or him. Glad to hear they can reach 33 years in age. I'm 58years old, my RTG is 5 years old, looks like I better include him in my will, lol.

Mines 4.5yrs. old and seems to have reached its peak shine, colour, and lenghwise growth at around the 4 yr. mark, and is now just bulking up. If there are any changes still going on they are too slow/minor to notice. I have heard or read that rtg develope up to their 5th year.

I always thaw out first, then cut into 1-2" chuncks and stuff with 1-2 masivore pellets.

My 4yr.+ rtg eats a variety of pellets supplemented with raw shrimp or talapia once a week only. Any more often and he'll go off the pellets completely. Imo stay away from live feeders (not health), get him on raw shrimp, talapia, or any other white fish meat/fillet. Worst case senario if he...
