Need expert advice PLJ on this Aro.

PLJ is common in SR's and less on golds. So in a way PLJ are more acceptable in SR's. PLJ develops as the aro ages, younger aro that doesn't show any signs of PLJ may still develop it as it ages but one who already has it at a young age will be "special: :D"

Need expert advice PLJ on this Aro.

The 2 small panda SR are in a cage inside my big fishtank. Its a funny setup, until they get a little bigger to be released with the bigger RTG's. Can't really get a good shot of the SR, as soon as I step infront of the cage the RTG's comes swimming infront blocking the SR. Anyway here's the...

Need expert advice PLJ on this Aro.

Look like PLJ to me. and at that young age it will just get worse. ONe of my Panda SR looks the same (jaw) when I got it, now after about 6 months it's a lot worse. I just look at it as being "UNIQUE" rather than "has defects":D

    180 gallon planted with Crossback

I don't mean to offend and I may be wrong myself but he looks a little bit on the skinny side. How old is this guy? Also not really a planted aquarium guy but what's the temp of your tank? Colder temp (which I think is what plants want?) may affect the aro's apetite. Really nice aro and...

    crossbelly

I didn't realize that NAN lights are actually submersible. They were saying that NAN light are for "lighting effects" and not for tanning now it makes sense why...because they're actaully submersible. That will be cool to have in a tank. I saw some submersible LED lights at ebay, they...

    crossbelly

searched some info in tanning aros and found that they use T5 lights or other lights use in plant growing. Some uses metal hilides also. So tanning lights (T5) are easiliy available in most shops here. You can get a double lamp fixture 4' long around $150 range.

Doesn't look like this guy have DE looks like more of the camera flash making it look like DE. DE have been discussed and debated on numerous thread and everybody seems to know what causes it and how to prevent it anyway until somebody proves them wrong again??? From No substates tank...

    crossbelly

Saw this another interesting thread by "gtohow". I always thought that crossbellies are genetics (not anymore!). Not only does low (bottom) lights give you the very sought after cross bellies but also gives you that desirable (atleast for me) intense yellow gold and you wouldn't have to worry...

What do you make of this?

Maybe the pair did try brooding just wasn't successful "YET". Who knows keep the water conditions good and they'll spawn succesfully. That must be a big RTG though 23".

    Panda XB Golden

I don't mean to offend, but he does look like an RTG. There has been several incidents of mis-tagging/mislabelling( may be intentional or unintentional). We certainly don't mind for an xb to be mis-tagged as rtg, but the other way around kinda sucks. Hope he'll still develope into an xb...

    My RTG

Nice 5th level shine for an RTG that young. He's probably around a year old only?

    jardini pellet training

Yeah I think that's the way to go training them to eat pellets. I believe it is easier to teach aros to eat pellets when young since they don't have a big stomach and less body mass so they get hungry easily. Easier to break/train them. bigger aros can go longer with out any food and they...

    IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!

Isn't Marius in Montreal? That will be tough not being in Vancouver or Toronto to recieve/claim and distribute the fish, unless he's getting a courier to forward it to him to Montreal. I think those are the only 2 entry points, I may be wrong though.

    Pleco ID

Thanks again Jackson, When I e-mailed him last year he told me that he is going to investigate and ask his supplier but I haven't heard from him then. I guess that is what Spence found out from his supplier. Somebody gave me this pick from another forum which kinda makes me believe they can...

    Pleco ID

Thanks for the info Jackson. Yeah I got them from Spencer and yes price wise, it is a good deal regardles it is L152 or L95 but I just prefer the color of L95. I e-mailed Spencer regarding the plecs being L152 and he said they are L95 just because he got them from Brazil and not Venezuela...
