August 2011 Update Here's a few new pictures. This guy is now about 16 months from tag date and approx 18 inches:eek:. I added the 4th picture to demonstrate the white light flashes used - no NAN or color enchancing bulbs are use in my pictures. Whatcha think?

Most likely it is warped scales not dropsy. Which is normally caused by poor water quality and/or chlorine burn. Remove the fish to a treatment tank and add 0.3% salt. I have also found that melafix is very effective for warped scales and aro's respond well to it. Should clear up within a week.
