I don't think they're photoshopped to alter colour. I do think, and it's only my opinion, that they had a red light on the fish when the pics were taken. Now that my reds are settling in, I will take pics with and without a NAN light to see the difference. :)

A friend of mine just got a wild hystrix to add to his collection. It had markings similar to what's in this thread. It was determined to be ammonia burn from shipping. It healed within 10 days or so.

My RTG continued to develop colour and shine well into it's 4th year.

LOL, no he's not a resident there. I'll show him the link though. :p You'd be surprised how tanks in these environments are abused and how much gravel cleaning needs to occur. He also has to spend some time educating the staff around feeding and such. I forgot to mention he includes travel time.

I'd suggest that you charge around $30 dollars an hour for businesses. You will incur expenses, and you don't want to be doing this for free either. A friend of mine does tank maintenance in a senior's home. If I'm not mistaken its a 55 gallon. He goes in every two weeks and charge $50 for...

Well, I took the aro to the vet. Tried scanning through the bag. Didn't work. X-rayed the fish and located the chip. The scanner worked so long as there was no water between the scanner and the fish. The chip matched up to the farm cert. I'm trying to buy the xray because it's pretty darn...

Yeah, I'm trying to keep their conditions the same. Water parameters, lighting, diet. The Maju seems more shy overall but eats a little better than the Diablo. The Diablo is much more outgoing but much more camera shy. Then there's the challenge of shooting pics in blacked out tanks. :p

Some pics of the CV Maju from today. The Diablo has become very flash shy so I'll try with him again later.

Hybrids are not available in this town. I prefer pure strains.
