I would said you should be fine as your tank is big enough for both fish. Only small tank that having more problem as there is no room to swim away, and yes fining a pair is pretty rare too but only if you intend to breed them other then that it just like an aro comm.

well tell her just temporary and you will sell it once the aro is bigger. Or sell pbass for dirt cheap or trade in IPU. I been there done that and yes you gain some you loose some but at least you get what you want.

I would get a 75G tank and grow out as its too risky to divide the tank with pbass. Your pbass is too big to have any divider strong enough for them.
