Air pumps

I'd like to know what kind of Air pump would be needed to produce max bubbles on a tank about 3 ft. deep. I have these huge airstones but my air pump doesn't maximize the output from the stone.

Look for a good industrial type air pump made out of steel and fins for cooling thats what i'm using. Been running it for 2 years with no problems.

I have used a HiBlow HP series of air pump before and it was quiet and pushed a lot of air.

Right now I am using the PennPlax backup air pumps. They put out enough air (with two 6" airstones) in two larger tanks (both 30" deep) and automatically switch to battery when the power goes out. I would recommend these.

I'm using the same pump as Car, and it does find for a 30" deep tank with 2 5" bubble disk. I had a larger pump that was totally useless that I paid more for (not the industrial type) and just ordered another pennplax back up to replace that....here's the link...relatively inexperience imo.

They make a little noise i have mine in the cabinet under the tank and can't really hear it very much unless its vibrating against somthing. It does have rubber feet on it.

I got the Luft and forgot to up-date.... frickin amazing pump!
