so i brought home my 6 inch arowana yesterday, and as i put the bag in the tank for him to adjust temp i decided to do a quick ammonia test. And with my luck it was at .25ppm.i checked it the day before and had 0ppm,the tank has been running for 3 weeks now and i have 5 clown loches, and 7 fish i used to cycle the tank.the tank is 160gl the filtration is a fx 45.i did a water change immediately 20 gl and ran and grabed some am guard and prime added 4 caps each.today i did a 15% water change cuz the level still was the same ,and my fish is staying to 1 corner and has not fed today.
what can i do?!?!?

Ya then that's not good. An arowana is always on the go and swims near the top. Sounds like you are doing the right thing with your tank.
Just wait and be patient, arowana become stressed when they are moved around. When I acquired my guy he did not eat for 1 week. Once settled in though he became more active are started to swim around in the usual arowana manner.

ammonia

might not be cultivating enough good bacteria. Seachem Stability should help. you might have to double up on filtration to provide ample refuge for good bacteria to cultivate.

i did another water change today and its commin along thx for everyone that helped out i owe u 1.
