If I have silver, Black, Jardini, Green, 1.5 red and/or RTG, I will definitely try if I can have a source of the snake. But for my super quality reds and cross backs, I will never try this. The limit I will try on my aros. is the baby mice.

Shh! Don't let people hear about this or we'll get a bad reputation as hobbyists! lol :D (hmm...kinda true though too! )

Anyone tried frogs here?

Maybe when my aro gets a little bigger i would try some market frog legs... It is another story in Asia where you see frogs everywhere hahahaha...

Maybe aro's eat anything that can fit in their mouth in the wild and anything that moves lols. Maybe even little birds that are slow and low enough for the arrow to actually jump and reach it.

I would want to feed my aro some small frogs i heard they are very good for them and some centepid but they are expensive i think.

Listen to the man. you have lots of shrimp down in Vancouver just go down to the Richmond docks and buy some. No need to feed them anything else

TY rulaifu, i guess i will only feed my aro MP. I won't mind feeding other types of foods as i can see most aro keepers have variety of food to feed their aro's. You are correct though friend,i would want and will only feed my fish some fresh MP. One of the reassons being, MP is more healthier in my point of view and a lot, i mean a WHOLE LOT cleaner for me than other source of food. The problem about feeding SW is that aro's tend to not eat any other food source like MP/pallets etc. and would only eat SW,it is like a drug for them i guess they get hooked right away and that leads to problems later on as stated above.secondly i think that MP are more healthier to feed than superworms. Also i have noticed that feeding superworms cloude the water faster. The shell/head doesn't desolve when eaten by aro's,this is from past experience.A chanch that SW would bitch the aro somewhere inside it's mouth and might lead to aro starving because it will not accept any food. Well all of these may or may not happen but this is what i think/noticed,still i stand to be corrected.

i had success with feeding everything except SW and crickets at a young age and then after a year introduce SW. now he excepts all types of foods not just addicted to SW.

I still haven't seen the snake video! Been too busy last few days and then it was gone so fast. Any chance you can repost it EEYY? Nice to see this thread went in a good direction with everyone sharing their experience. Speaking on behalf of everyone, I think we ALL wish MananaP good luck with his upcoming big purchase and will support him anyway we can with advice! ;)

Cirrus you're right on. I have to ship them up here from BC frozen once caught but its still better (in my oppinion) than MP, cause there are no preservatives like in MP to keep them from blackening.
