Arowana eating tankmates.

Does your Asian arowana eat tankmates? I am more concerned about them eating ray pups. I have a pregnant female stingray in a tank with a 20" RTG and I am scared the arowana will eat the pups if I don't catch the birth in the process. I found Asian arowanas to be one of most aggressive of the arowanas along with the Jardini in eating or harassing tankmates so I have my fingers crossed that my pups aren't eaten.

When I had my hbrtg he didnt even eat feeders, but my rtg did... I guess it depends on the aro's personality

never had a problem with my rtg eating new born ray pups. just keep the are well fed before the ray pop!

The aro will not eat the ray pups.

Rather, it might attack them if it is of aggressive type of aro.

Well, monitor it first before deciding to move it or the pups out of the main tank.

Just curious, once the mum ray released the pups, wouldn't the water be dirty ?

What is your filtration system ? Sump or OHF ?
