In todays news 2 guys were caught at the u.s. border trying to smuggle some asian aro's. It was in the Toronto Sun today.
I have seen the statistics for how many Asian arowana were sold in Canada over the past 10 years. There is NO way that many fish remained in Canada. If so, this site would have 10 times the traffic at least. I estimate 40-60%of all Asian aros sold in Canada end up south of the border. If Kenta and I had a dollar for evey American who has asked to order a fish from us we would have several hundred dollars, just in the LAST year!
I am sorry to hear of people getting busted, but the USA laws are their laws. Anyone who breaks the laws is risking a hell of a lot. You would think the question "Is it really worth it?" would crop up more in the minds of the people doing the smuggling...
