if you are into aros in a big way i would skip the RTG and go for the xback

a lot of people who buy RTG want to up grade to xback after 2-3yrs

so save your self 2-3yrs and buy the xback from day one

i know that the xback is more expencive buy if you think about tne money and time you will put into a RTG only to sell it after 2-3yrs its cheaper to buy a xback from day 1

if you are thinking of a HBRTG then its a xback you really want as a HBRTG is just a RTG that is trying to look like a xback

Or having RTG first to get a taste of how to keep an arowana, gain some experience then upgrade to xback.

all aros are about the same to take care of reds are a little bit harder to get looking nice

it all depends on what you are looking for in a aro

a RTG is a good start point but when you start shopping for high back red tail golds it the look of a xback you are looking for IMO
