Equipment Suggestions/Reviews

Hello,

I was at a wholesalers warehouse yesterday; I was wondering through the aquatic supplies and equipment, I was wondering what kind of gear I should get since I get it at wholesale. Can anyone recommend specific brands and models for equipment like:

1. Lights
2. Cannister Filter (quarantine tank)
3. Chemicals (i.e. Prime and Stability)

Anything else I should get while I have the hookup?

Have they ever thought of starting a place on here strictly for equipment reviews and recommendations?

When choosing heaters, what kind of wattage/gallon should I be aiming for? I'm planning for a 450 gallon tank but that may change so a ratio would be handy to have.

i have a 800 watt jbj it works very nicely, better than any heater i have ever had my only probem with it is that my turtle loves to chew on the probe :( lucky for me it cost only 15$ a probe
