Lights on

how long do you aro keeper's keep the lights on , and what kind of lights do you guys use

I keep my lights on for about 12 hours. I use about 4 foot long regular florescent light at first but now we use purple film where the light shine so that its a little darker for the other fishes.

No hard and fast rule unless we are talking about tanning Reds.
