Hey Guys! Tell me what you think about this Stock List:

1 x GH Aro.
2 x Parrots
1 x Flagtail
and here it is....
35 x Clown Loaches
(Clowns will be 3 to 4")

All in my 180g BowFront Tank.

Clowns grow very slow so I figure I would have atleast 2 years? before I get a bigger tank and move them all over. But what do you all think? Would u advise? on it?

Assuming this is your present stock list/set up.

I have a 175g bowfront, overstocked with 1/22" rtg, 2/8" ntt, 3/&" parrots, and 7/6-11" royal plecos. 1 eheim 2262 with 2/33% water changes a week seems to keep on top of things, although the royals do increase my filter maintenance.
IMO you would'nt necessarily have to move up in tank size, but it's always good to do so, $$ and space permitting.

My nitrates are usually between 10 to 20 but I think its the cotton floss that might be part of the issue here cause I usually just wash it and put it back into the filters instead of replcaing it with a new cotton sheet. Which I just recently started doing one filter change per week to let bacteria develope in the new cotton sheets. so there are some cotton sheets that are still somewhat brown/black no matter how I rinse them out. I think whatever that is still caught inside those cotton sheets add some nitrates to my tank as well. Other than that I have some anubias plants and taiwan moss on my drift wood to help suck up some ammonia. I'm currently doing 2 x 25% WC's per week. I'm gonna see if the nitrates would come down some more after I change the cotton sheets before I do the whole 35 CL's.

wow ?? 35 in a 180 ?? thats a lot i keep 10 in 210g and my smallest is 6 inches biggest is 11inches ??

yah maybe a bit too many huh>?? those clowns have me hooked! Their soo entertaining to watch! Its so much fun. There are times where i needed to leave for work but stayed a few more minutes just to watch the clowns swim and play cause I know when I come back from work at night they would all be hiding and sleeping. I dropped off some loches at the LFS to sell off some so I can pick up the oddball clown loach here and there. Maybe I'll just keep a dozen max for my 180g. I feel thats a safe number instead of the wild 35 gang which feels like a gamble.
