Let's say for P13 for the time being, will 48" by 36" by 36" as the minimum size to try?

Any inputs??

I don't know about P13 but I have bred motoro in two different tanks, 72 x 36 x 33h and 72 x 36 x 28h. That's only 2' longer than your minimum.

The tank may be too small. P13 need to be around 2.5 years old or even older (could take 5 years) By this time they may be 18"-20" big which is too small of a tank for rays that size. You could probably do it but you may encouter more problems than if you had a tank more suited for those rays.

i would say thats the min tank size for p13

The reason I asked this is because I read a lot of books, especially comments from Taiwanese stingray hobbyists. They kept saying 4 by 3 by 3 should be good enough but never explain the reason.

The dimensions seem to be 270 gallonsish. I'm by far no expert on this breeding matter, and only have read from multiple forums. A lot of them have argued that it depends, there were pairs that never bred in 300 + but once moved to a 180 gallon they bred. There are multiple claims that they have had success at 180 and below (as far as I've read), but it seems that alot of the similarities though, is that they had 3 stingrays in the tank, 2 females, 1 male.

So Im guessing that the taiwanese hobbyist are probably implying that this 4x3x3 is perfect to house 3 adult 13s?

The dimensions are more important when breeding rays rather than the tank size, (gallons wise).
