purple based arowana?

my rtg clearly has purple on him i just have never heard of this before just wondering if its a temporary thing or if it just get nicer with age?

most would consider it as blue shade. but then theres only a small diff. between green blue n purple shades. sometimes depend on lighting n environment as it could affect the shine to diff. colors

nope not just lighting, basically their whole environment. genes is prob the #1 factor. no matter how well u groom ur aro, the majority of how itll look like is due to the genes.

he was in 90 footprint it was small but not horribly small, for my birthday may 1st he was going to get a 180 gallon tank but now im just going to get the 180 and a small rtg and just grow him out instead of upgrading
