Photos are from Arowana World Book V (The Chronicle of Arowana). Author had been following 26 arowanas and record the color development of each selected arowana.

I thought you guys might be interested especially seeing the difference between the first and the last photo.

This is a super red coming from parents of Super Red and Chili red.

Is that the same fish through all the pics?

I'm just wondering about the differences between july and august 2003.

The author mentioned that the arowana bite its own tail during that period. You might see the tail didn't look good at all.

And yes, this is the same arowana.

I hope this series of photos could help hobbyists getting a rough idea how to project the color development.

Wow this really makes me hesitant about selling my Chilli Red...

Don't you guys agree that the first photo was like a regular RTG!!??

Red aro would take a longer time to develop the red color especially chili red. I was told (normally) at least 1.5 - 2 years. That's why I am adding centipedes in the diet and see whether the color will turn out even better than I projected.

The author did not mention any specific diet at all.

Book III specifically talking Red arowana and Book IV for Gold arowana. All are printed in Chinese.
