RTG color

When do rtgs mature and have their true coloration come out? From what I see as juveniles they dont have that real gold shine and dark back. Just curious.

once they start to get around 12'' they start to really show true colours IMO....

My RTG continued to develop colour and shine well into it's 4th year.

Mines 4.5yrs. old and seems to have reached its peak shine, colour, and lenghwise growth at around the 4 yr. mark, and is now just bulking up.

If there are any changes still going on they are too slow/minor to notice. I have heard or read that rtg develope up to their 5th year.
