Stingray Tail question

If someone were to cut off part of the tail, just below where the stinger is, will that ever grow back (so the stingray is is now missing the stinger)? Also if it wont grow back, then does this affect the stingray in the future for breeding?

from what i know of it doesnt grow back as some exporters cut off tails of some rays..
as for breeding im sure its ok i have seen a vid from asia of a BD male with no tail at all mating.

I have seen a few videos of rays breeding without tails well part of their tail missing.

Yeah, I've seen videos of rays born with no tail at all, thriving in the aquarium.


But really, what's the fun in owning a ray without a full tail, stinger intact?
