Its not my fish, its a friends, he owns a Koi farm. I guess he went away for a period of time where the workers were supposed to be looking after these fish. And they clearing didn't do anything, I suspect poor water conditions. But its a strong fish and with some care I am sure it will be fine.

We use a sock net to move aros, of any size. I moved 2 30" ones today with it. Its a net thats goes around the aro, and has a hole at one end. You close up the hole with your hand, then when you want to put in bag or tank you release your hand, and fish slides out head first!

I dont think so, you can usually tell when your aro is getting full.

I feed mine 2 times a day. Morning and night, my red feeds on pellets and MP. I am lucky not a picky eater.

Anyone kept high grade koi with their aros??

we were moving then out of the pond into hospital tanks, one got a cloudy eye, so its just t be cautious. I am hoping added temp and 5% salt will do the trick. Both fish are 30". I got a few pics, i'll post tomorrow.

With an RO filter you basically have to premake your water ahead of time. Is a pain in the ass, but most people with reefs swear on it.

I've heard a few stories of people switching to black water, using ketapang leaves, and their aro would stop eating. Havent experienced it myself, just what I heard.
