I buy shrimp in the 4 lb boxes for $25.00 that my lfs gets me. It sounds like maybe I should shop around for a better deal! The problem is I'm 200 km from the nearest store that carries shrimp so it is more convenient for me to just buy from him 6 boxes every 2 or 3 weeks. I feed about 1.5 lb...

That looks cute! I doubt he could train a large aro to do that, he probably would get his fingers nipped. Pretty cool, though!

I can certainly relate to that. I spend at least an hour a day feeding my pets (fish and reptiles) and another couple if I do water changes on one of my 8 tanks. It's like having a second job with really low wages (but great benefits).;)

That really sucks. She was a beautiful fish.

My first 3 sets of motoro pups all had the "v" deformity but the next 2 sets were fine. The first two that were born with it have now had 3 sets of pups, they seem to find the food alright as far as I can tell. The deformity is in the front, about 1 inch across on my 12" female and 10" male.

My HBRTG was about 12" and the pbass were slightly smaller but heavier. They may have just spooked him and he could have knocked himself out. Pbass sometimes like to mouth lock and spar with each other, causing quite a commotion.

I have a regular clown knife that is 20", it is very mellow with rays and can stand up to pbass, no problem.

That is a good price, good luck with the sale.

If you are thinking of putting pbass with an aro, I would think twice. I had a HBRTG killed by pbass only a little larger than that.

I have been trying to switch my dynamic red aro back to mp after feeding sw for a while. He hasn't eaten for almost a week, though he did take a small piece of shrimp yesterday. However, as I was about to toss a piece of mp in the tank today, he came up out of the water a couple of inches...

I only have 1 albino senegalus in the planted tank. Getting along well with the bbxb, the bichir swims about quite a bit.

I like them both!

I should try to switch my red aro back to mp. He used to eat pellets and mp but I got him addicted to sw. It's tough to get them off of sw once they get used to it.
