acrylic tank and pleco

i was advised not to add a pleco to an acrylic tank. but who knows. try it out howard and let me know! lol jk. i was debating on a nice sunshine back in the day but decided to go against it.
 
I was told soMe plecos like the panaques that chew wood could do some hefty damage to acrylic tanks.
so you just need to be careful on what types you are going to keep.
 
I've been keeping L25, L114, L600 and L273 in acrylic tanks for over a year and do not see any scratches yet. The bigger one is a 10" L25.
