A big thanks to Chen for making his male Henlei available. The group is now 2m/2f-- one more female with the right pattern and I should be done :)

are those are all wild caughts????

didnt you just fill that pond of yours dude!!! mines been running for a month and i am still scared to throw a ray in

looks great hows the humididty

Yepp, all wild caught, Matt. The tank has been filled and running for about 2 and a half weeks, but all the bacteria house was aged and had a sufficient bacteria colony built up. Aside from slightly elevated nitrate levels, the water parameters are perfect.

How big are those rays?? I am still dealing with nitrite ,ammonia seemed to stabilize but nitrite still not going away.it's only small reading but if I throw a ray I'n I am scared it will spike.I would rather kill a bunch of cichlids than a ray or rays?but I did start my tank from new so it may still take a few weeks.

Forgot to answer your humidity question-- it was like walking into the rainforest at first, but I snagged a nice LG dehumidifier and since I've had that running, humidity is steady at 70%. It pulls a couple litres of water out of the air a day! so needless to say, water changes/top ups are frequent.

Agreed-- definitely throw some tester cichlids in there. If they fare well after a week, you should be fine. I staggered the ray introduction, one every few days.

As to size, my big female is about 15 inch disk width. The others range from 9-13 inches.
