Angelfish and peacock bass?

New Member
Would they be able to share a tank? They share similar water parameters and pretty sure the angels are too large to fit into the bass' mouth. Any opinions or experience?

In the long run, eventually bass will eat the angels. Short run, angels wont be able to compete during feeding time with the bass. I wouldn't unless you have a spare tank!

also agree, the peacock bass when small would out compete the angels for food, then eventually the peacock bass out grow and then eat the angels

I saw a beautiful tank done with Altums, discus, earth eaters and baby cichla. The owner said there were no issues until the cichla grew over 6 inches, then he moved the cichla to a new tank. I would still use caution with this combo.
