any way to strengthen aro's barbells

this may be a total retarded question....but

i noticed that my aro's barbells are looking a little weak. they are starting to fray. is there anything i can do to strengthen them?

Could be a water quality issue. How are the ammonia levels in your tank?

I'd say water quality...I've had my comm tank fights with bars that looks like it's about to break off but within a day or two I wasn't able to tell which aro it was as they were all fine...

ill get get the water levels checked out. i just tranfered him into a new tank, so maybe thats why...
