Finnex 500 watts Titanium heater with controller
or
Pro-Heat II 1000 watt LCD Titanium Heater with controller

This reply might be a little late, but better late than never.

Check out the titanium heater/controller combo offered by Jehmco. They come with a Ranco controller, which many people swear by. I run 1500 watts (1000 + 500) for 3 years with no problems. Friends of mine have used the Finnex, Won Brothers, Jalli and the controllers all seem to fail quick.

Another option is to get a Reef Keeper Lite controller for around $100. This will give you control for lights, etc... and more options for add ons down the road.

I'm using a Ranco controller with two blue line titanium heaters (1K and 500K) just under 200US for everything. Did my research and Ranco and Blueline came out on top
