arowana vomit

After a 25% water change today my RTG vomitted up all of his super worms

I did a 70% water change, added some extra prime, charcoal to the filter, and a bit of salt

Anything else I should do?

Stress from the water change caused this?

hrm...wierd....did you change the water after you fed him? I typically don't feed any of my fish the day of water change. I change 30-40% each week....

I have had aro of mine in the past throw up, usually from overfeeding.. not even that your overfeeding in one day, just sometimes they need a few days to digest their backlog

I guess SW just don't agree with his stomach. He still has a hard time keeping them down. After starving him for a few days I've got him eating pellets and MP. Glad to see him taking some food aside from just pellets. Now he can get back to putting on some size

SW are usually harder to digest, hard shell. I remember getting half digested SW out of the Tiger rays. Try feeding smaller amounts more times a day, give him some time to work on the food.

70% water change could be too much. I would say 50% per time would be the max.

Assuming it is not the case of over-feeding. To me, it sounds like the arowana's soar throat might have a bit injury and feeling uncomfortable to swallow SW, especially the SW legs might cause the arowana to spill them out right away. Might take between days to weeks to improve.

I think you're right. I've tried a couple SW and prawn tonight and he's taking both now. I need to keep a varied diet with this one
