Must be at least 4-5" in order not to become food! Trying to get secured 5 Black Barrs now.....hope I do get these as I'm second on the list....Would love to get some similar Size Red Hooks..

These school fish will be great to keep the mid part of my tank busy....and then perhaps a ST to keep everyone in line!? ;-)

I used to have a group of 10 red hooks and 6 black bars all about 6-8" then sold them for like 160 bucks a couple years ago. Awesome fish, I wish I never sold them. They will be a perfect addition to your tank. GL.

If they come up on any of my lists I will be sure to tell you.

just picked up 5 5-6" Black Bars....MY Large female BD had one of them in a head lock TWICE!....I had to get the stick inside to get her to release the poor guy!....she can't swallow the guy! or at least I don't think she can as the guy is big and round and flat!...my GOD....LOL...

Oh Chen, you better get used to the aggressive behaviour of the rays. I remember T1KARMANN telling me about a huge Fei Feng he had which got its eyeballs sucked out by his big leo...then he had a big blind Fei Feng on his hands...

SHIT....well...they seem to have settled in now after the big female did a WWF on one of the SD's. it was like I'm counting and HEY...where's the 5th!...and then I see the BD in a big bubble and thought....hmmmm I wonder! LOL..and there he was! picking up a couple big Malaysian driftwood to put in...hopefully SD's will swim at the top of those driftwood and can avoid the rays....

They don't seem to bother my Tig as much...although during feeding they swarm him but he just swims away...perhaps it's the length of the Tig

My motoro did the same thing with a 5" ntt. The male and female rays seemed to work together in cornering the dat and the female pounced on top, pinning the dat underneath. I also had to peel her off of the poor dat. This only happened once, though. Hopefully, your ray will figure out that the sd is too big to eat.

And congratulations on getting the sd, I have 9 of them and love the way that they school. They are in my 130g grow out tank now as the pbass would probably have them for lunch in the big tank.

Thanks would like to get 5-10 more for the tank. The black barred sd's seems to be the hardest to find though but also looking for big red hooks.

Apparently Black Bars come out of Bolivia and getting fish out of there is incredibly hard. I haven't seen any small BB's in about 5 years and anything available has been around for awhile

Yeah...that's what many people are telling me that the BBSD's are hard to come by and the folks that has them aren't too willing to give them up since they are not readily available...guess I got lucky that the guy I got them from knew I wanted them and was getting into other species so I was able to pick up these 5-6" BBSDs from him yesterday...
