i am thinking of trying to keep a ray again :D I had some bad luck in the past with not being able to get ray to eat <wild caught>, plus other tank isseus ! but i feel confident this time , all issues have been taken care of !! ;)

i am looking for a local bred or a fish that has been here for sometime !! and by local i mean canada ..

i would prefer a marble motoro , or some sort of hybrid ? , but would not refuse a nice looking regular motoro ..:cool:

any info or a nudge in the right direction is greatly welcomed :D

I don't think there are too many breeders in B.C. but it may also be worth it to get a captive bred shipped to you for the main fact is you can make alot of mistakes with them and they don't die as easy as wildcaught. Depending on what you are looking to spend my partner who sells my rays I think has castexi, pearl x motoro and pearl x motoro sp of various ages for captive bred rays. pm me if your interested. Hopefully you should see us soon as sponsers just working out some things and getting up our stock

I'm bringing in captive bred Black Diamonds, Leo x BD and Leopoldi rays. If fact I picking up a shipment today - however this order is all spoken for. I am going to be placing another order soon pm me for more details.

nice ok kinda wanted to start with a less expensive ray :cool:
 
Take a look at IPU? Don't think your tank is big enough for the big motoro there but IPU does bring in nice rays. I have a friend who bought a flower ray there and it eat after only being in the tank for 2 hours (mix of MS and live black worms) and you know it can sometimes be tough to get the flowers to eat. If you can't buy off somone then I would suggest there. I'm taking down my 175g salt tank at the end of the month and changing it into a ray/arrow comm tank b/c of it's 31"W footprint, maybe we should get a group buy together from one of the vendors if you are still looking. Just a thought.:)

hoping for a captive breed tho ;)
