I recently made an epic road trip to visit one of my customers and bring home some of his local raised Peacock cichlids and Angelfish. His original brood stock was purchased from the select grade Peacocks that I was importing in late 2012/early 2013. I must say he has done very well as many of the "babies" that he has raised are already in the 4"-4.5" range and fully coloured. Obviously they have never been hormoned but even more impressive is that he has never fed any colour enhancing food. If a person was to work a food containing natural astaxanthin into their diet such as my CAF Colour Enhancing Black Worms the colours will become even more amazing! I have only a limited number of dominant males available and a fair number of females so for most types I can put together trios for anyone that is interested in breeding these. It was a 15 hour round trip to pick these fish up and I don't plan on doing another trip any time soon so get them while you can.
