I came home last monday and saw this!
my Sturgeon half out of my wave maker..

he swam up and comitted suicide

This is crazy! This little guy managed to swim against 700g/hr and stucks his head into an half a inch opening!
 
Shows how strong the river currents must be for these fish in nature. I suppose he thought he was heading up stream.

ya we live and learn.. i'll haev to wait till Mike gets more in and deffinitly not putting any wave makers in the tank he will be in..

he was really starting to eat and looking real happy in the tank too

my very 1st thought was someone kiled him and now he stuck then thought about it.. only want for him to get there was to swim in.. i guess it figures tho he does swim around looking almost blind.
 
Just read this thread, mine did the same thing with a different style powerhead just before yours. Looks like I'll be getting a new one also and finding a different way to make the current.

im be keeping mine in a 90 gal when i get another till they grow up lol
