Some nice BIG super reds

These fish are available for immediate import to Canada at a pretty reasonable price. For now I would only recommend they be purchased by people near the port of entry (Vancouver). I am nervous about trans-shipping such large fish (over 12 inches) inside Canada. That said, I am always up to new experiences! ;)

In any case, some nice photos. I think these fish show a lot of potential. I am very curious to see how the smaller CV Maju fish imported last month turn out. :)

Yeah, that is kind of my plan. ;)

The problem I have is that the smaller fish seem to offer so much more value for most people, including myself. Of course, you "get what you pay for" and so the larger fish with their confirmed colour and shine etc. represent good value since you can pretty much guarantee they will turn out great as adults. The smaller Maju SR's all look pretty good too, though, and so it is hard to bring in the big ones unless I have someone specifically wanting a big one.

Once I have my big tank going this fall the situation could change and I will try bringing in a big one or two on speculation...

nice theo. are these the pics of the 12 inch maju reds?

can you get maju to snap some pics of their xbacks that they have for sale? regular gold xbacks and blue base xbacks?

Theo I'll be interested in 2 20 to 24 inch bluebase XB. No patients waiting for my other sets of small xb and others to grow big

Hi Mike - Yes, you and others want to see the BBXB photos. I'll try and format them in next few days as time and internet access permits.

Hi Nathan, I asked about the really big fish and it is a no-go. I can ask again and maybe ask why not. Maybe they are just too unstable at such size to travel so far?

For such a long travel a 20" fish would require a 4' box with as much water as a 33gal => almost as much as the shipping I paid for the Platynematichthys Notatus I brought. He survived the shipping just to smash his face into the tank
